Scattering of ashes at sea
Cremation has been going on since time immemorial. In addition to the more classic forms of ash scatterings, such as on grass or the storage in urns – which is often experienced as impersonal or not very emotional – a scattering at sea provides a more dignified and touching manner of immortalizing the deceased’s memory.
Freedom is the central theme during scatterings at sea. Not being confined inside an urn, buried in a numbered square in the wall or placed on a mantelpiece, but being released into the infinity of the worldwide seas and oceans.
In addition, scatterings are budget friendly and avoid the next of kin having to visit the cemetery or maintain the gravestone. The deceased lives on in their memories.
